BEASTWORX 75KM MOUNTAIN BIKE ENDURO – 24 NOVEMBER 2012 – RAISING MONEY FOR SOLDIER ON

On Saturday 24 November 2012, I will be competing in the Beastworx 75km MTB enduro race at Namadgi National Park, ACT.
This is a difficult ride over some of the ACT’s most brutal and unforgiving terrain.  This will not be an easy ride.

I’ve chosen to enter the event as an individual rather than in a team for a very simple reason…
I NEED your support to help me finish.

I need people to sponsor me on this ride to raise money for SOLDIER ON, a not-for-profit organisation that provides rehabilitation and support for wounded ADF members and their families.

As a ex-serving member who has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan I’ve seen the toll injuries, both physically and mentally take on returned veterans and their families, so every dollar that is spent helping these people in need is greatly appreciated.I’m asking YOU to donate money (every donation helps) to support this fantastic cause while I sweat, bleed and cry my way across Namadgi National Park.

UPDATE!!!!   UPDATE!!!!   UPDATE!!!!

In 24 hours I will be rolling across the start line steeling myself for the next 75km of mountain biking hell.  The first 31km is up hill littered with steep inclines and river crossings.  The “downhill” part is a series of 40km+ of more river crossings and winding death traps at breakneck speed followed by steep inclines until the finish line and a well deserved collapse on the ground.

WE’VE HIT AND PASSED $5’000 DUE TO EVERYONE DONATING TO THIS GREAT CAUSE. I’M A FEW DAYS OUT FROM THE RIDE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

WE’VE made it to $3000 thanks to a very generous Matt Ceccato. I can honestly say I am gobsmacked and incredibly humbled.

I decided to enter this race for the sole purpose of raising money for SOLDIER ON.  I’ve seen and recieved the support our wounded brothers and sisters not only need but deserve. 

The amount of people supporting this cause and supporting me is amazing and I’ll continue to fight for those that need OUR help.
